We welcome your suggestions for topics for discussion, but please note we cannot guarantee their inclusion on the agenda. In some cases it may be that we include your topic at a further meeting or deal with it outside of the Forum meeting. We will contact you to feedback any action that has been taken. Please use the form below to let us have your suggestion for discussion topics or question(s) you want to raise during the ‘Question Time’ slot.
Upcoming Meetings
The first South Wigston Forum of 2012 will take place on Wednesday, 7th March 2011 at 19:30. This meeting will be held at St Thomas Church Hall, Blaby Road, South Wigston, LE18 4SB.
An agenda will be available in due time.

COMMUNITY FORUM BUDGET RESULTS:
The results from the South Wigston Community Forum are now in. The forum has 4 projects that have been provisionally allocated funds.

The next stage is for for the task group to meet and check that the criteria has been met. Once these checks are done an offer letter will be sent out by the Communities & Places Officer at Leicestershire County Council.
The projects will be delivered between January and the end of June 2012.
There is still a chance for communities to get involved...
The next round will be in June - July 2012 where your community group could get the funding required so ensure you come along to your forum meeting planned for February - March 2012 where more information will be available. Leicestershire County Council has made funds available to all 25 Community Forums in the county.
The South Wigston Community Forum will have £10,000 available per year for local communities to invest in local improvements of their choice.
We are looking for projects that can be delivered between January and the end of June 2012.
How can local communities get involved?
If you have a bright idea on how £10,000 can improve your local area, you can put forward a project proposal via our website by 11th November. For more information, please click here.
From 14th November you can check our website to view & comment on submitted Project Proposals and make suggestions on how the projects could be further improved or developed.
You can vote for your favourite projects at the South Wigston Community Forum Budget Workshop, scheduled for 24th November (6.30-9pm), where you can also hear from all projects and discuss some projects in more detail.
