We welcome your suggestions for topics for discussion, but please note we cannot guarantee their inclusion on the agenda. In some cases it may be that we include your topic at a further meeting or deal with it outside of the Forum meeting. We will contact you to feedback any action that has been taken. Please use the form below to let us have your suggestion for discussion topics or question(s) you want to raise during the ‘Question Time’ slot.

Oadby Residents Forum, Monday, 12th March 2011 at 18:30

The first Oadby Residents Forum from the season will take place on 12th March at 18:30 and it will be held at St Paul's Church Hall, Hamble Road, Oadby,LE2 4NX.

An agenda will be available in due time.

Oadby Community Forum Budget: The results are in!

COMMUNITY FORUM BUDGET RESULTS:

The results from the Oadby Community Forum are now in. The forum has 7 projects that have been provisionally allocated funds.

The projects are: -

St Paul´s Church - Youth Group
Helping Hands - Dedicated Outreach Caseworker
New playground - Friends of Brocks Hill School
Diamond Jubilee Big Lunch at the Park
Social Car Scheme - Oadby & Wigston Community Action
Chairs and Tables for Oadby Community Centre
Oadby Tennis Club - coaching project

Reserve Projects:
Age Concern Oadby & Wigston – Minibus
Community Basketball

TOTAL £12,500

The next stage is for for the task group to meet and check that the criteria has been met. Once these checks are done an offer letter will be sent out by the Communities & Places Officer at Leicestershire County Council.

The projects will be delivered between January and the end of June 2012.

There is still a chance for communities to get involved...

The next round will be in June - July 2012 where your community group could get the funding required so ensure you come along to your forum meeting planned for February - March 2012 where more information will be available. Leicestershire County Council has made funds available to all 25 Community Forums in the county.

The Oadby Community Forum will have £12,500 available per year for local communities to invest in local improvements of their choice.

We are looking for projects that can be delivered between January and the end of June 2012.
How can local communities get involved?

If you have a bright idea on how £12,500 can improve your local area, you can put forward a project proposal via our website. For more information, please click here by 3rd November 2011.

From 4th November you can check our website to view & comment on submitted Project Proposals and make suggestions on how the projects could be further improved or developed.

You can attend the Oadby Community Forum Budget Workshop, scheduled for 22nd November (6.30-9pm, venue tbc), where you can hear from all projects, discuss some projects in more detail and vote for your favourite projects.

PLEASE NOTE: Workshop spaces are limited and booking is essential. Registration opens on 4th November and will be on a first come, first served basis. You can register via www.leicestershireforums.org/cfb.html or by calling 0116 3057034.
