A meeting of the Loughborough East Area Forum took place on Weds 4th June at 7pm, at Shelthorpe Primary School.

Burleigh Community College attended to consult the Forum on the possibility of the college adopting Trust Status and becoming a Foundation School.

There was a lively discussion generated by the Review of Community Health Services, which includes the possibility of relocating the Walk-in Centre from the centre of Loughborough to the hospital. Members of the public are being encouraged to make their views known to the Primary Care Trust. Mark Fennel, Assistant Conservation & Design Officer attended to inform the Forum about how Neighbourhood Design Statements can influence planning policy.
