The Hinckley Area Community Forum took place on Tuesday 6th September 2011 at the Earl Shilton Age Concern Centre, King's Walk, Earl Shilton, Leicester, LE9 7NL

The main topic was on employment and training and there were presentations from Hinckley and Bosworth BC, Job Centre Plus and North Warwickshire and Hinckley College as well as an animated discussion around what barriers exists in the forum area to attract existing training and employment opportunities

The Hinckley Area Community Forum took place on Thursday, 2nd June 2011 at 18:30 at George Ward Centre, Church Lane, Barwell, Leicestershire LE9 8DG

The main topic was around street cleansing including the councils responsibility and how we can improve issues together as a community. There were discussions amongst residents in an interactive and participative manner and suggestions for improved actions.

There was also a thought provoking presentation about the role that Multi-Access Centres played and how they are helping people get back into work during these challenging times.

The Hinckley Area Community Forum took place on 24th March 2011 at 18:30 at the new Atkins Building, Lower Bond Street, Hinckley Leicestershire, LE10 1QU

The main agenda item was an interactive discussion to gather views on local green spaces. Local residents from the Forum area indicated on maps provided the green spaces they value and why they value them. The results were collated will help to inform local policy and planning processes as well as our response to emerging national policies.

Big society and a discussion around employment for young people in the Hinckley Area Community Forum were two of the issues discussed, part of the new approach to ensure greater communication with local communities. The local community also received an update on the relocation of the council building by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Councils Chief Executive.
