We welcome your suggestions for topics for discussion, but please note we cannot guarantee their inclusion on the agenda. In some cases it may be that we include your topic at a further meeting or deal with it outside of the Forum meeting. We will contact you to feedback any action that has been taken. Please use the form below to let us have your suggestion for discussion topics or question(s) you want to raise during the ‘Question Time’ slot.
Upcoming Meetings
The Spring 2012 Bosworth Community Forum will be held at Bosworth Community College on Thursday 8th March 2012 at 6.30pm.
The following topics have been proposed:
• Local Employment Opportunities
• Supporting Rural Businesses

Please note that the Chairman and Vice-Chairman roles are up for election, if you would like to be nominated or want further information on what the role entails please call 0116 305 7986 or have a look at the attached role description and guidance below.
Finally Leicestershire County Council in partnership with the Borough Council will also be running a Job & Skills Fair along side the Community Forum from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
So please feel free to drop in to:-
• Talk to local businesses about job opportunities in the area including MIRA, Hammond, care providers….
• Find out about pathways to employment through North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, Adult Learning Services, Connexions….
• Seek advice for you or your business from The Federation of Small Businesses, Clockwise Credit Union, Better Business for All, Leicestershire County Council Choose How You Move….
Recent Meetings
COMMUNITY FORUM BUDGET RESULTS:
The results from the Bosworth forum are now in. The forum has 7 projects that have been provisionally allocated funds.
The projects are: -
1 – Desford Youth Project £1,500
2 – Barlestone First Steps Playgroup Holiday Club £450
3 – Elohim Church Hub £1,000
4 – Bosworth in Bloom £1,500
5 – Sport in Desford – GP Referral Scheme £1,384
6 – Sibson Village Hall Insulation £3,853
7 – Toilets for Twycross £1,200
Reserve Projects The Desford Lawn Tennis Club – Tennis Court.
TOTAL £12,500
The next stage is for for the task group to meet and check that the criteria has been met. Once these checks are done an offer letter will be sent out by the Communities & Places Officer at Leicestershire County Council.
The projects will be delivered between January and the end of June 2012.
There is still a chance for communities to get involved...
The next round will be in June - July 2012 where your community group could get the funding required so ensure you come along to your forum meeting planned for February - March 2012 where more information will be available.
