On Wednesday 21st September, between 4pm and 6pm, there will be the Big Society Roadshow for the Hinckley & Bosworth area, George Ward Centre, Church Lane, Barwell LE9 8DG.

This event will support the principle of ‘Helping to develop the Big Society in your local Community', providing information on Leicestershire County Council's Community Forum Budgets, the Big Society Grant Fund and other relevant funding information. We hope to encourage community members and community groups to come along to the event in their District, to find out more about what is being done to support the development of the Big Society in Leicestershire.

Thu, 30 Jun 2011 6:00pm

The Bosworth Community Forum took place on Thursday at Newbold Verdon Community Primary School.

This was a special, well attended meeting to support community centres and villages halls. We heard from key funders and a local success story of a community centre. We also had interactive workshops on areas such as sustainability, reducing energy costs, obtaining funding and much more.

Feedback was very positive and attendees benefited from the valuable advice and from the networking opportunity.
