A successfull Blaby North Community Forum Budgeting Workshop was held on December 5th 2011.

Leicestershire County Council has made funds available to all 25 Community Forums in the county.

The Blaby North Community Forum has £15k available per year for local communities to invest in local improvements of their choice.

How did local communities get involved?

Thirteen local groups and organisations requested a share of the £15,000 allocated to the Blaby South Community Forum area, with projects ranging from an indoor Bowling project to the introduction of a Well Family Clinic and youth service provision. By sending in project proposal forms prior to the workshop, other local residents and organisations were able to view & comment on submitted Project Proposals via the website, and make suggestions on how the projects could be further improved or developed.

The Blaby North Community Forum Budget Workshop, took place on 5th December, where projects were discussed in detail, and all present were able to vote on their favourite projects.
